Having successfully identified the factors that cause natural rubber to emit an odor, Sumitomo Rubber Industries has developed reduced-odor natural rubber – a new type of natural rubber that emits significantly less odor. It is made from a special raw material processing technique, which was devised at Sumitomo Rubber Group’s natural rubber processing plant in Thailand.

The aim is to combining UltraSoC’s embedded on-chip analytics with Agile Analog’s on-chip analogue monitoring IP. As well as voltage and clock glitching, these side-channel attacks can also include deliberate brown-outs and temperature variations.

Yokohama Tire announces 2020 spring rebate promotion

Yokohama Tire’s annual spring rebate promotion is back. From now through April 30, consumers can earn up to $100 in the form of a Yokohama Visa Prepaid card or a Visa Virtual Account after purchasing a set of four select Yokohama tires. “The spring rebate is a great promotion for consumers because it includes a variety of products from our Advan, Geolandar and Avid lines,” said Alan Holtschneider, Yokohama’s director of marketing.

Graphene heterostructures enable new IR photodetectors

Researchers from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology have calculated the parameters of photodetectors comprised by layers of graphene and a combination of black phosphorus and black arsenic. These sensors are able to detect radiation with energy less than the band gap of the constituent layers without graphene.
